i don't get why i'm having so much issues. I just found out that it's leaking from the bottom of the skimmer. I've had the skimmer plugged in since the issue from earlier tonight. I have been checking up on it, and after drying the skimmer off earlier i noticed that it was wet. So i kept on drying off the area and it would still be wet. So i was watching the area of the skimmer where it was wet and it was leaking, and i know the filter sock wasn't causing it because it was over the tankand not hanging over the back and couldn't be affecting the bottom of the skimmer.

I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm not sure if i could send this one back and maybe it's a dud and replace it with a new skimmer? i haven't had it for very long. I just don't think i should be having this much issues with a supposed to be good skimmer like this.

i felt the area now that it's dry, and don't feel a crack. And please excuse my noobness but where or what is an o-ring located?

if its hanging on the back the easiest way to inspect it would be to move it to the front. Please turn it off first ;) then move to front

plug it i then do your inspections... would be easier instead of crouching over tank.

thankfully the part that leaks/drips is in an easy access place. But i really don't have the paitence to mess with the skimmer anymore tonight, been causing to many problems. So much for being a great skimmer

Sounds like an o ring is damaged or not seated correctly. Have you ever had it apart?

i would have to agree either that or when t was assembled at the factory it was misaligned. if it was me i would take it apart completly clean it and the reassemble it and try again after inspecting the parts of course.

I agree, thats how i do mine when i have issues with mine, when hanging on the front it's alot easier to monitor it(i have a sea clone,so i do this often)and maybe you can see exactly where its leaking

is it just a coincidence that this happened once u put on the filter sock? try taking the sock off then turn it on again and see if its still leaking.......? before u pull ur hair out, aka britney style :)
