    Hey Everyone,
Hope you are ready for the holidays...LOL
I am currently running 8x54w T5's and was wondering if there are any T5 systems out there with more then 432watts.
    Thanks8)

dont think so, the problem is past 8 bulbs their getting wider than the tanks are so your just wasting light

I'm sure there probably is somewhere, but for the most part if you need and have room for more than the 8, most people just buy an additional fixture all together. That, or get some MH's

This fixture is supposed to hit the North American Market in late January. They also make the non dimmable version and will custom make the fixtures in requested.

I would agree with the statement of more bulbs(on your tank) would mean more wasted light. Even companies that use 2", SLR your talking 16" on the 8 bulb granted I have seen some fixtures have the bulbs and reflectors in a concave shape saving some space....
Also I do know the Sfiligoi makes a 10 bulb and I believe 12 bulb 54watt. I guy I know opted with that over a 4" solar flare, he had to wait for like 8 weeks for them to build it and it costed him I want to say $1500-$1600 but he thought it was the only way to go, BUT he has a 120 and 24" of room whereas you have 18".
If I may ask, why do you feel you NEED more bulbs?

    Happy reefing

W/ T5 more bulbs isn't going to really equate to deeper light penetration, just more overall coverage. I have t5s on my 180 and thats 24" deep and the stuff on the bottom, while not much as the tank is young, is doing great. When I get my PAR tests down I will post them so you can compare. I have 8-80watt bulbs on my 180.

If you want deeper penetration(hey, keep it clean) you might want some MHs
    Good luck

how tall is a 72 bow? I know I was looking at a 90 bow and turned away from it because the only way to light the bottom was with MH's T5 wont cut it on a tank that is 3' deep

Are you sure a 90 bow is 36" tall? Is it a custom tank? I don't believe AGA makes them that tall....

was an oceanic, not 100% it was 36" but it was taller than my normal 90 by quite a bit
according to google they are 28" but sure seem a lot deeper than that when you look at them
