    What I'm thinking is the tank isn't set up yet so ill get plywood take the tank and place it on it. Then outline the tank then go from there

    That should work. Do you have a jig saw or scroll saw (you'll want one)? What type of design are you thinking?

    I don't but ik my dad had a jig saw table saw, heck you name the tool he has it at his shop.
    The design will be like how my stand looks

    Well im ghoing a deff way. See I thought since all im doing is string led lights for it (not doing coral) I would put them on Plexiglas or a pices of sheet medal an then cover that up with some wood and just use a glass canopy to keep the fish in lol ill put pics up on my build
    Which ill be starting soon

    like i said im going a deff way and here is it its some pine would stained and a peace of sheet metal for the led's to go on and ill get some comp fans on either side for air flow and the top will have a hole cut for another comp fan to push air in as well.

    this is with out the led's on them and i still have a pice of plexiglass im putting over it to prevent salt, the tank its self will have the glass conpany that it came with

    as said im nicknameing this thing the mother ship do to size and how bright it is lol all in all this project costed me $90 and a little cursing but gave me alot of pride knowing its mine

    and fyi this is not ment to grow coral just to light my lionfish and give me a tan in the process of watching my lion fish also ill look into how much shades cost for a lion fish
