I purchased a nice maricultured tabling acro the other day and was curious on proper mounting. It's obvious that the piece was broken off of a parent tabling colony then mounted vertically as the majority of growth is in a horizontal form (kind of like a hair brush if stood on end). Should I mount this piece in a horizontal position or just mount vertically and allow the coral to readjust and start tabling from the vertical position?

Try and mount it horizontally, with as much of the upper side up as possible. This will allow the entire length to grow up and spread instead of just the tip.

yeah i would mount it horizontally as well... even if its broken and you cant mount it sideways, you can still just attatch the bottom side of whatever you have and it should encrust and establish after a short while
