Anyone have ideas of mounting Par30's to a Nanocube? What I am looking for is something that is a fixture and not clamp on.

I know clamp on is the easiest route, but I don't like to have a lot of clutter around the tank, let alone hanging off a wall of the tank. But I don't want to go with the permanent fixture where the bulbs are in a fixed spot so I can't add more.

I also don't have a way to hang them from the ceiling either.

My plans where to go with some form of cable or track system that will allow me to adjust the bulb positions over the tank and still let me add or subtract bulbs if ever needed.

Anyone have ideas? I would like to keep it looking like a light fixture that you place on top of the tank, no clamp ons, no floor lamps, a set on top fixture.

Thats a bit tough with these PAR30's... Sounds like you might have to go the DIY route.

ikea do some track lighting, worth checking out the options there.

not the easiest option. i've seen some where there has been a shelf or overhang made to fit above the tank witht he fitting attached to the underside of that? if you made it high enough above the tank you could use a regular ceiling light fitting?

the difficulty you have is that a lot fo the light fittings that will take a standard par30 have a shade that goes around the bulb.

Yeah this is defiantly going to be an interesting build to get it to work. Might try the overhang setup and a half a giant pvc to put the bulbs in. It will look like a Current fixture with the hanging kit! hah
