Mouth and fin rot questions

Seem to have some fin and mouth rot starting on my yellow tang. He is currently in qt being treated with cupramine. There doesnt seem to be much info out there on this. How do I treat it? Do I need to stop the cupramine and address this now rather than later? I was going to start him on prazipro today too. Will that get rid of the rot? Thanks

 

How about melafix? And can I use this with cupramine in the tank?

I used melafix personally. I never heard of cupramine. I will have to google that.

 

Just read cupramine is only used for parasites. You might wanna try another route.

 

Cupramine is a type of copper I am currently using to treat the tang for ich. I think I now have case of mouth and fin rot. White bloches on his fin and his mouth is starting to look bad.

 

well I would treat the ich first and soak the food with garlic and that should help build the immune system. Eventually the fin and rot should get better.
