I am thinking of getting some yellow leather toadstalls, my LFS has 3 toadstalls on a large piece of rock. The thing is that the rock is very large! Is there a good/safe way of moving the toadstalls off the rock and attaching them where I want them in the tank?

    Thanks

Are you able to chip off a small piece of the rock the leather is on? I'm not very knowledgeable in regards to fragging, but I would look up something on the web about coral fragging/propogation. Anthony Calfo has a book out on coral propagation which is very good. Maybe check that out! Good luck! Let me know how you make out.

I will see how it fits, otherwise I will try and chip them off the rock!

Thanks for your reply, I will let you know how I get on.

If you can't chip it off the rock but still really want the coral, you can remove it from the rock by cutting it off at the base with a very sharp knife or razor blade.
