So today I finally moved my 65g into a 90g and I was intending to use a 30gallon aquarium as a sump. But... I cracked the 30g ( dont ask me how, long story.) So I ended up using my acrilic store purchased 20 gallon sump in the mean time. Here is my question. The sump is wet/dry with bioballs in one compartment and water with return pump in the other. I used to use coralife65 protein skimmer that hung on in the sump. I also have a huge euro reef but it will not fit inside the acrilic sump. It will only fit inside a 30g tank or 20g long.

    Do I:

A: sell euro reef and coral life skimmers on craigslist and get a new skimmer to fit inside my acrylic sump
B: get a 20g long and place euro reef in there but I wont have bio balls, it will be just straight pipe coming from overflow to the 20g, return pump and skimmer.

Not interested in separate fuge area so...

i think just getting a 20 long would be cheaper, so i think that would be the route I would take.

    Go B...
Bigger skimmer is better and you dont need bio balls.

Even maybe find a 40 gallon breeder on craigslist and use that for your sump. You could fit the Euro reef in there no problem and still have room for a fuge or some live rock. Also a little room left over in the stand for other equipment.
