I bought a piece of live rock a few months ago and a few weeks ago on the more underside of it I noticed a colony of star polyps starting, now its up to about 8 or 9 polyps and Ide like to mvoe them from the underside of the rock to some place more in the light and more in the open where they can be seen.... I have no idea what is the best method for "scraping" them off the rock and affixing them someplace else in the tank - without killing them off.

    Any help/ideas are greatly appriciated.

Just grab the mat and peel. Use super glue gel to affix them where you want.

I agree, only difference for me was a rubberband to hold them in place until they stuck in their new spot.
