If I set and kept gently pressing on the foot of a mushroom would he eventually let off of the rock so I could move him? I know it work's fine with Anemones.

I have no idea, would like to know if it works though. I always find getting the mushrooms to reattch after fragging the problem. Can't wait to hear what happens.

I have no idea either but would love to know the answer myself. I have some mushrooms that came on a thin piece of rock. The are just hanging on it, but they won't drop down onto my rocks.

One came off rather easily but I think he was already on the move, luckily enough it was the main one I wanted moved. I bought a rock with five really pretty brown mushroom with bulging green lines and spot's on them, my LFS as most other's keep's really crappy water so I brought the rock home (20.00) and a week later there are some really cool Zoa's coming into play on the rock. They have really bright neon Orange faces. If only he kept good water the rock would have been a whole lot higher. I'll never tell him that though. Thank's for the input.

I only have one experience with moving a mushroom....all I did was scrape it off the rock with a sharp knife then put it on another rock away from flow so it would stay put.It attached there and is happy and healthy.

I have had success with moving mushrooms by pointing current in their direction. A few days of blowing around and they bail off in search of calmer seas.
