Ok I have read a lot of posts on the right way to do it have a couple questions still. I understand the moving of the contents till we get to the sand bed. If I stay with my 125 I wont have time to run a new cycle. If I get a larger tank I could put in new substrate and some new base rock let cycle run add some of my current substrate to help with cycle then just move every thing over. Thanks in advance ::)::)

What are you asking? Should you move it or just get larger? That's all up to you, if you have the money and really what to go bigger, then do it. If you're happy with your set-up, just move it. If you move to a new larger tank you will likely see a small cycle at minimum. Same thing if you move the tank. So it's your choice. I've moved a couple tanks and no losses yet.

My bad to early was rambling.

1-if I keep my tank and move it I don't want the problems of stirring up my current substrate.

2-if I go bigger I was going to just keep adding some of my substrate to move cycle along.

So I guess the real question is How do you move the substrate without a major spike or can you just start with a new base old water and live rock and have a little spike if at all. again thanks

Leave the substrate in the tank if possible and lay a damp towel over it to keep it in place and moist while moving. Pretty easy to do if you take your time.

OK you do realize its a 6 foot long tank and will have 90 lbs of wet sand in it pretty sure i can move it not sure if the tank can handle the move only going 25 feet but don't want it to leak later.

You'll need to support the outside rim as you move it. On my 65 the black plastic at the bottom is actually 1/4" lower than the glass, so the entire weight of the tank is supported around the perimeter. It had 60lbs of live rock and 80 pounds of sand in it. The 125 will be thicker glass, and you probably have much more weight on it now, and if you look I think you'll find that the trim is the same on mine ;). Plus that 90lbs is spread out over quite a large area.
