Do you have to switch over right away or do you have time to cycle the new tank? I would def. use new substrate and let the tank cycle and then switch over if possible

I would have to say yes to starting a new cycle. Just by moving our tank and setting it up again caused our tank to go through a cycle, and we used all the same stuff from when we tore it down, including the water. I myself want to transfer from my 75 to a 125 that we just picked up. Frustrating isn't it.lol
