    Hi

This is not an emergency yet. I am moving into a new house in about a month. I have a 75g tank 90lbs of live rock many corals and a fish. I have been in contact with the local stores some of them can do the job some can’t, after listen to their methods to move, I believe I can do it myself I just need a few transportation boxes, plastic bags and water containers.

Any suggestions comments or concerns will be well accepted

    Thank you

I just moved my tank and I would definitely recommend read Coral Reefer's 3Reef article on tank moving. Some important points, I found:
    - have plenty of salt water made up and ready to go at the new house.
    - plan out well in advance where the tank is going to go...make sure there are enough outlets nearby!
    - think about how you're going to move hunks of live rock that have corals attached to them.
    - you might want to consider having a quarantine tank set up for your fish (and maybe corals) until the water in your display tank clears up.
    - make a list! i had a clip board of steps number 1 through 73 on how i wanted the move and reassembly to go. I even remembered to occasionally look at it in the chaos and panic of the move.

Good luck and hope this helps!

    Thank you

I will search for the post in the forums. I have a 10g quarantine tank but i don't think it can hold all the corals and fish. I was planning to use some of those Rubbermaid containers for the rock and some foam to t wrap the corals with elastic and then place them in other container full of saltwater until the tank is ready. i have seen this method at the local store when they receive the shipping’s.

As per my fish for sure I’ll have the quarantine tank up and running.
