    Hello All,

    I want to upgrade my 20 gal to a 65 gal. I am currently using a Fluval 305. I want to know if I can use my 305 on the new 65, or should I go with a wet/dry filter? Let me know what you all think. The owner of the FS that I get my fish and equipment from told me today that I would need to go with a wet/dry filter because the 305 was to small to do the job. The 305 is rated for 70 gals fresh or salt according to the Hagen site.

    Thanks::)

    Is it going to be a reef tank or FOWLR? I have 65 reef and I suggest building a DIY 20gal sump/fuge instead of wet/dry. 20gal long fits nicely under the tank. Get rid of fluval unless you want to run filter media with it. You can run your skimmer and grow chaeto & mangrove in 20gal. You will be a lot happier :)
