    so my 40g upstairs is coming downstairs. My plan is to drain half of the water into a 40g container i have, then add the fish, then the rest of the water. Move the tank, add half of the water back, wait for it to settle, add fish then ret of water..? how does this plan sound?

    Well, I'll have a look for myself.

    That is how I did it when I moved. It is a lot easier I am sure, with no corals at the time(like me), but the same rules apply.

    yeah but after this one....the 15g reef has gotta come upstairs! but ive moved the reef multiple times, so I know the plan for that tank

    sorry! ive been upgrading tanks, moving tanks, and fighting algae, so i wasn't impressed enough to add photos, but some will be coming in the next few days!
