I'm moving out in 3-4 years from now hopefully and i have been thinking about starting a 55, or 60, or 75 reef metal halide lighting, lps, and soft corals with some fishes. I would be moving to Colorado springs, Colorado i live California now. So what the real question is now is should i set up this tank and move it or should i wait until I move to start the tank :confused:

    Get it NOW!!! LOL! j/k..

Actually, there are some really good deals out there right now. Could be a real good time to pick on some good equipment fairly cheap.

If it was me... I would set up a nano or something small.. or may even get the 55gal and set it up, and keep the tank fairly simple so when it is time to break it down for the move its not a big mess or headache.... Also I would take Blumoon Reefers idea and Deff runn with it... Because there is always somebody gettin out the hobbie with loads of goodies that you may not be able to pick up brand New due to the cost or what ever the reason maybe...

    Hope this helps a Bit

    Best of LUck....

Sure, you could set up something like the 55 and like salsalito says, keep it simple. In the meantime, start looking for deals for your bigger setup. Besides, 3 to 4 years is a looooong time to go without a reef tank.

And what happens if plans change and you DON'T move, then you will be kicking yourself for not setting something up. LOL!
