with those 2 options I would be tempted to go with the reefkeeper lite

simply as it offers additional benefits, aside from controlling flow

I would go with the RKL..as Steve said it offers you more than just flow options...you could control your heater, fans lights, ato,PH monitor etc..etc..(eg. if temp goes to high turn off heater,if temp still goes to high shut down halides and turn on fan)..I have the RKL plus and can say a controller was the best piece of equipment I have purchased.. the peace of mind alone is worth the money..

Thanks Steve! i was doing a lot of research and i want to set my tank up for sps but i want to randomize my flow some more, and i knew the mp series had a really good way to do it and i heard someone talking about the RKL and i checked into im just not sure what kind of powerheads i can use for the wavemaker feature, i would use the PH and Temp probes as well, and i would hook up my doser to it, but my lights are all controlled already with a built in timer and fan.

Im just curious what kind of powerheads do you have hooked up to it?? can it handle just about anything? b/c currently i have 2 maxijet 1200's with the eco mod, and i have some hydor 1025's in there as well can i use those? or is it pretty much a certain brand?

As for power heads,Im running Evo`s on mine with no real probs(no click on start up),and have heard of people running the sicces also..
..I was running 2 maxijet mods also for a yr or so and for the most part they did well(clicked every so often),but they(the manufacturer) say with the mods they should not be used on wave makers..
