You won't be able to run them anti-sync without wireless; one doesn't know the other exists.

I would imagine trying to turn on NTM, or short pulse mode would be a pain without the wireless function, and they would work against each other anyway and probably not be on the same pattern.

So thats why i was thinking about putting them both on the back wall. Then it would not matter if they were synced they would just be making random water movement as the different waves ran into each other.

True yes, but they're much more effective (hence random) on opposite ends anti-synced.

And you have the ability to utilize the Eco-Smart modes.

I would place them against the ends, and run both on Reefcrest until you get them upgraded. I picked up a brand new mp10es on 3reef for 190 shipped, and another elsewhere with wireless for 220. You can be vigilant and find good deals, but in the end I sugest wireless. (Mine are on the back walls with mp40wes on each end so its not much of a big deal to get the wireless upgrade for my other mp10es, though just having got my mp10wes we will see)

Place on the ends and not pointing directly at each other if at all possible. This will create even more randomness to your flow.

OK, well BRS is out of stock on the mp10w es. So gonna just order the normal mp10es. 235-$20in brs points 215-$50(selling 2 750 koralias for $50) 165. So not bad. Then i will have to get the wireless moduels at some point down the road.

    thanks guys!

I have 2 MP40W es and run them at 1/3 of their speed range. Ecotech has a calculator for pumps that gives you their recommended range. Use it as a starting point to set your speeds.
