My MP40 for my 90 gallon tank is supposed to be delivered today (;D!!!).

In my 28 gallon nano, one of my Koralia's has recently stopped working, and I am working through it with their customer service. This means I have SERIOUS flow issues in the tank with 1/2 of my powerheads not working.

Since my 90 gallon isn't yet ready to transfer my livestock, would the MP40 be a valid short term solution for flow... or would it overwhelm the tank?

Clearly, I have no exp with vortech... yet :)

I would think it's fine at its, or close to its lowest setting of 1,000 gph.

Looks like the feed mode is only 500 GPH, which would work as well. Should be fine either way for a short term. Or just get a cheapo from your LFS for $20 and have the extra one on hand for in the future.

Well, I just got it in there. It's a lot more flow than the tank is used to, but I think it should be ok. The only thing getting hammered too bad is the xenia, and in my tank that's probably a good thing :)

Worst part is that you can't really play much with the modes when you have it at the lowest setting... so I have to hold off on experimenting with my new toy :) lol
