MP40w Ecotech Gen 2 -- What Setting?

Hey Everyone- I just picked up two EcoTech Marine MP40w propeller pumps for my 120. Just Curious-- Anyone using these and if so what setting do you use?

Constant Speed Mode
Lagoon Random Mode
Reef-Crest Random Mode
Short Pulse Mode
Long Pulse Mode

I am using only one MP40W on my 120 and I have it set on a short pulse that is giving me a 1 inch swell either way in the tank and it looks awesome my soft corals flow back and forth and my fish ride the wave across the tank. Be sure to set night mode to give the tank a break at night. I actually see the current flow across the upper area of the tank and I have an undertow across the bottom in the opposite direction. You want a quick punching pulse on the short pulse setting. I have tried all the settings and I like the short pulse the best, my second choice would be the yellow setting I think that is reef crest random.

 

Thanks! I am using the short pulse now as well. I have mine set a little longer though. I thought having one at each end of the tank this would give me more of the back and forth look to the tank.. Still messing with it though. Anyone Else?

 

I only have one, I recently changed it from short pulse mode to reef crest. I am thinking of getting another then may use the long pulse mode, about 4 second bursts.
