    Yes.

    No, it is not. In my 38 years in the hobby, I've had one tank with no cover. That only lasted about 4 months. The only difference I saw was the number of fish that end up on the floor and the amount of evaporation.

    Yes, it has... and the rocks... and the plastic... lol Believe it or not, it came in on the backs of my CuC and had a great start before I added any corals.
