Well went to the LFS yesterday to pick up some clean up guys for the tank. This guy was just to cute to pass up, I also got a black legged hermit, one with white tips and a snail. so far everyone is staying in there own corner of the tank. the guy below; though, sure does have a lot of energy, he dug two new homes last night, then when I got home he was running back and forth, figure i would through some shrimp pellets in there for everyone to enjoy, he ate almost everything and now hes back in his dug out. He also carries around two little anemones on his shell. sorry the glass was dirty during his photo shoot ;D

your guess is as good as mine, the only thing the guy said was he is 5.49. I googled him and all i could find is that he is probably a Dardanus sp.

if he is a white legged hermit he is not reef safe...he will eat corals and will kill other inverts. I had a couple that came in a shipment of crabs that I was not aware of....until one day I saw these three crabs having a feast on my flying gernard. The gernard might have died naturally but I seriously doubt it because earlier that day he was swimming around fine.
I placed one of them in the sump and took the other 2 back to the LFS....(which was food for a mantis ;D)
Funny thing, when I took my 75g down and drained my sump I did not see the crab in there, and the actual tank was not taken down for 4 weeks after it was drained. Well the guys came to take apart the tank, and guess what they found alive and well in the sump...my white crab. So they threw it into my new tank. Within a half an hour, it had one of my turbo snails upside down trying to steal its shell...so back to the sump it went!

again, I am not sure he is a white legged crab...just keep an eye on him! He is cool looking and it is an awesome shot. I can never get good pictures of my stuff in my tank no matter how hard I try
