I'm having a bit of difficulty deciding which skimmer to purchase. Fellow 3reefers please help me decide! You can all see my system, water volume, and lets just say for decision making purposes I'll have a large bio load.

My budget is somewhere in the area of $200 give or take. I'm looking at SWC, Precision Marine and Reef Octopus brands. Can anyone give some solid suggestions of what would be the BEST in my budget (which I think is a fair budget for a build of this size) option?

Almost positive it is 1". The return is definitely 3/4". We had to dial down the flow in the return because the Mag 5 was way too much for the overflow!

I have it on my 30 gallon Cube and LOVE it.

Quiet yet pulls a ton of gunk!

Easy to put together and under budget - I believe aquacave has a good price and is a sponsor with a coupon code!!!

I run a precision marine and I love it. It skims real good and does at a constant no flucuation

Ok so it's down to these two:

    Octopus:
    Reef Octopus 4

    SWC:
    SWC150 BMK

I'm leaning towards the SWC, but will it be overkill on my tank? Is there such thing as overkill on a skimmer?
