mud refugium.. Any opinions?

    I use refugium mud. I havnt had any algae problems in my tank at all. I don't think I would use kitty litter, it is not mud, its not natural to the reef and it is made of clay. Others on here use it but I don't understand why.

    I used mineral mud mixed with 20% aragonite...seemed to work pretty good for me. I don't have the guts to try kitty litter. I think I will just use sand in my next build and maybe mix it again with aragonite just for the buffering capacities!
