I'm thinking of using most of my new 40b Frag system as an anemone tank.

I'm going to wall off about a 3rd of the tank using eggcrate and use that piece for frags then keep the other 2/3rds of the tank for something...else.

I have a pair of maroon clowns that need a home and have always wanted a bright colored carpet nem. My main tank is full of to many corals for me to take the risk... but this 40b that's plumbed into my main system should be perfect. It's stable (about 275 gallons of water volume) perfectly maintained and I have great lighting (AI Leds with 2 purple plus t5 supplements)

I want to get a few species of anemones if that's even possible I was thinking of getting a rose bubble, a large green carpet and a maxi-mini. Is this a bad idea for any reason? Can you keep multiple nems in a single tank? What's a good resource for Anemone husbandry?

Well, I tend to look at potential problems and err on the side of caution. That said, I wouldn't recommend it, especially in such a small space, and more importantly, in a tank that is connected to your entire system. Should one nem start to wander and end up on/in another, you're going to have a stinging war that could threaten all of your livestock.

Yeah, I was just reading how large, a large carpet can actually get...

I may be better off just storing it with some simply softies I don't care about and a large show nem with the two clowns... I may even get another mantis shrimp... I kept these two clown a bubble tip and a peacock all together in perfect harmony in my 30g...

I found this tank as I searched for answers to this question and it does give me some hope... but it appears to be all bubble tips from the same mother colony (not sure if this actually matters or not)
