My brother and I are going to be splitting up our tanks some time soon.

    90G tank has
2 pink Skunk Clown (one large 2-3 inches)

    30G tank has
    2 Falce Perc (small)
    1 gold stripe maroon (med)

When I take the 30G setup to my appartment I don't want to take all 3 clown fish.

So if we moved either the 2 percs to the 90G or the single maroon to the 90G, which would get along better with the 2 skunk clowns?

I don't want to move the 2 percs if they will get picked on because of their size.

There is a LTA int he 90G that the skunk clowns love, and a huge toadstool that they also go to often.

They host the LTA and also the leather during the day.

    Any thoughts?

Anyone have experience with putting skunk clown and perculas together in a tank? Or skunk clowns and a maroon?

I would sell the gold stripe maroon, having a pair of clowns will only lead to death.

I know someone who has a false and maroon in the same 125g tank. They pretty much ignore each other.

Granted in most sitiations it does lead to death. But at the same time each fish is as different as you and i. If i were going to pair any it def would be with one of the meanest. Lown species out there ( maroon). Space imo is key. I have 3 blk clown 2 clarkii and a pair of maroons in my 210 for a cple yrs now never losing one of them. Do they have territories ? Yes but as far as ive seen its been pretty much a non violent affair.

Good thing this thread popped up, cause I have a similiar situation. I picked up a pair of black O. clowns 3 days ago from a guy in the paper who was moving out the area. It was a "someone get them or I flush them today" type thing. I am not a fan of treating any animals like that so I got them. Well I already have 1 pair of O. clowns. All 4 of the clowns combined are fairly young I would say the biggest is maybe 1 1/2" long. Everyone seems to be getting along just fine without issues & they are all swimming and intermixing together just fine.

Other than I am pushing the stocking limit now on my 75, is there any issues I should be concerned about as far as that many clowns in that size tank? I am considering putting up another less hurried add in the paper to find them a home, but I am really liking the color contrast of having a black pair & a orange pair.

    Any thoughts?

I have a pair of pink skunk and recently added two b&w percs to the tank. They was a equable in the beginning but has since resided. But I also have a 225 gallon also. I would be more worried about the maroon taking over.
