I have a 40gal breeder set up with two mp10s. One on each end of the tank. Because of my rock work, i have them basically centered vertically, but alot closer to the front of my tank than the back. If i move them anywhere else i think they would be blasting into the rocks more, which i know is not recommended. I am just wondering if my rocks and corals are getting enough flow. Here is a couple pics to help.

Simple rule of thumb I have used for determining and placing my powerheads is:

    Are particles staying suspended?

One role of the powerheads is to try to keep build up of detritus on the bottom of the tank. If it stays suspended it will go in the overflow to be filtered.

If you are having a hard time determining that, try using a baster to blow your rocks which will kick up a bunch of crap and watch how it acts.

In my opinion the MP10 should be enough flow just might want to tinker with placement!

IMO, the best setups i've seen with dual MPs is having one on each side, with one towards the front, and one towards the back, both on the higher side. You could place yours farther back if you move them higher.

I don't think there is any issue with your placement. Just make sure you have enough flow to do as nowherefast stated.
