Murder of Monica!

Was it possible that my emerald crab (Rummy) killed my scooter blenny (Monica)? I have yet to find her anywhere in the tank so I am assuming that the crab killed her...she was in great health and I have no other idea who would have killed her. Well, I can understand that Hillary may have wanted to kill her, but since Hillary is a snail, that is highly unlikely.

um well like my scooter i had her for 2 years and one day she died...im not sure how hardy they are but she might just be hiding, they can do that

 

I doubt she is hiding...I haven't seen her for about 2 weeks and she used to be very active! I think that Rummy pounced on her! I think I'm gonna have to get rid of him when I move everybody over to the new tank...he seems to be quite the nuisance! I definately don't want him to start messing with my corals and whatnot in the new tank!

 

I'm sorry for your loss. I've not heard of emeralds attacking fish before but I suppose there's a first time for everything.

BTW, when I was reading your post I was laughing at Hillary, Monica and Rummy. I was thinking what a coincidence....then I saw your signature. My favorite is "The Cabinet".

 

Hahaha...yeah, I figured living in DC, the least I could do was have a political tank!

 

Even though I've heard about emeralds attacking fish this probably isn't the case. Your scooter probably died for other reasons and your emerald along with the rest of you clean up crew came along and ate him. Sorry to hear about your loss.

 

Oh well...I feel bad for her...I'm just puzzled as to the cause of death...one night I go to bed, next morning I wake up and she is nowhere to be found!
