mushroom coral broken off during move

hello everyone
my last post was all about my move and i am happy to say thanks to everyone at 3reef who helped with my questions i have 100%survival rate, but..... i have 4 mushroom looking soft corals and one has broken off its perch. lol. is this a binner or will it be ok to attatch back to a rock. i have milliput if thats anygood and it seems to still be ok even though it isnt attached to anything at the mo

Hi Chris – you can reach him without issues. I suppose you could use the opportunity to frag it? Slice him into 4’s directly through the center.

 

not really bothered with fragging, could i just replant it to a rock with milliput. its a bit late to do it tonight im knackered but it is in the tank on a rock at the mo and doesnt seem bothered

I have some that came off the rock and are uh somewhere in the tank....Mushrooms are cool

what you can do Chris

is to place it on a rock, and secure it with some fine netting strip just tight enough to hold it in place, keep it in an area of low flow so it does not get blown off the rock

you dont need the netting if you can put a decent plastic wall around it
a tupperware or similar container with rock in and the shroom placed on the rock will also work in many cases

it will secure itself and then you can place where you like
