mushroom frags

    so i fragged my mushroom into 4 pieces and put them into a container in my tank (covered with mesh) filled with lr rubble.

    my question is how long do i have to wait until they attach their "foot"

    any help is greatly appreciated

    a week should do it. Why are you fragging your shrooms? those buggers will spread throughout your tank on their own (quickly)! lol ..... enjoy man.

    How did you frag your mushrooms?
    Did you cut it at the stem or cut it apart on the main section?
    What type of mesh did you use? (maybe I could use the same type to stop my Flame Angel from pecking at my Xenia's)

    Just curious as I have a few types of mushrooms in my tank and they’re in different areas and would like them to be within the same area for colour coordination.

    i cut it from the stem then sliced it like a pizza making sure to get a piece of the mouth in each one then i put it into a container with rubble
    then used some Tulle circles (white mesh) i got from wal mart (pack of 75 for cheap) to cover it

    Perfect, that will work out well for you. But keep in mind, shrooms multiply on their own rather quickly – before you know it you will have a LOT more than you anticipated. I think Tangster use to refer to them as “tank roaches” the comment seemed funny to me at the time so it stuck with me :)

    just did my blue mushroom today.. same way.. once they attach to some rubble.. I will super glue them to a big rock..
