    ALGAE ID help

Hello all, I was curious if anyone could help me identify the mushroom in my tank (Sorry this is the largest photo I could figure out how to upload). I have about nine different clusters that have suddenly have emerged. The largest ones are around 15 mm/ 3/4 " and the smallest 3-4 mm/ 1/8", and they appear to be solid brown. I had a mushroom coral when I first started but it died off two years ago and I first started my tank. I suppose the spores never died and they came back??? I don't know. I enjoy knowing the latin names to my reef tank, if anyone might know the exact name of these that would be great, and any help to get them to flourish...:ears:

    Best Regards to you all.

Your 100% right, it is. I was thinking is was a mushroom species:-[ . Im looking it up now, it appears to be under the common name "leaf Coraline" or Corallinaceae. ??? . I will look further. Any suggestions as to where to find out about this coraline algae and how to ID it???
