    Hi guys,

I just got a mushroom maybe an hour ago from my lfs. I tried gluing it to a piece of rock when i noticed after the 5th attempt some white stringy stuff coming out the middle of it almost look like intestines. Please tell me its still ok, thanks.

They do that when stressed. Will most likely recover.

As long as you acclimated it properly (under an hour?) it sounds like normal behavior to let out some "goop"

I wouldn't worry to much. I screwed up a lot when I first started, but that first mushroom is still alive and has split into three more over the past year.

Thats normal for them to discharge stuff when stressed out or being handled. We have glued a few and let a few attach themselves and either way will work. It may close up a bit at first but give it a while and it will be back to normal.
