So I got these 2 mushrooms about 3 days ago, glued them to the rocks and they seem to be opening and closing with the light cycle, but they never fully open like I saw them in the store! They're always a little curled up and shy looking.

Its my first coral, and the tank params are excellent, water changes are done weekly.

You have it in a good place, assuming your light is good. Mushrooms love low flow, hows the flow?

flow is low, they are sorta sheilded by a couple of rocks at the moment. They gonna be upset once I put the vortech mp10 in there though.

Light is good, 2 x 36W PC globes, 10,000K and 420NM actinic. About 1.5watt per liter, or approx 4.5watt per gallon. I do keep the lid on though ...

Looking at the pic again, they seem to be fine. Do you know how your paras are?

Yeah params are fine, a tiny bit of phosphates present, but being controlled and taken down with water changes. Amonia, nitrates, nitrites all 0, calcium is up around 450. temp is steady 26C and PH doesnt changes from 8.2
Its just that in the shop they looked more like a ice cream cone and were really streatching themselves out, I guess in time they will be the same.

Have you noticed any Hermit Crabs walking on them or around them? Assuming you have Hermit Crabs.

no crabs, a few pods walk across them occasionally lol. Apart from a massive pod population (cope and amphi varieties), this is basically going to be a coral display.

I heard that it was bad to glue a mushroom....you put them on the rock and wrap it with a veil and let them attach themselves.....THe glue might be the problem....
