Mushroom problem

    I have these mushrooms that have got like 6 inces in diameter and one has been laying over my pagoda cup coral and my monti how do I cut it out of the rock to transplant it? I can't remove the rock it's too big and my montis have calcified all my rocks together

    Why not just scrape the musrooms off the rock and transplant them? If you scrape the mushroom off slowly and then set them on some rubble where they can't blow around you'll be able to put them anywhere once they attach.

    The foots of these mushrooms are way inside the rock the foots are about 2" diameter what would you scrape them with

    I have had this same situation, and it it real hard to think that you have to do this. I didnt like the thought of it, but sometimes you gotta save the other 2 corals over the one. I have taken a razor blade to mine after trying to dislodge them. more times than not they will heal over a 2 week period and be just fine. and at the same time, whatever is left in the crevice of the rock will grow a new one, but much smaller and usually easier to get out if the need arises.
