Im not sure why but my one mushroom as you can see in the attached pictures isnt doing so well its been in the tank for over 3 months and i cant figure out the problem, water is all good, my other mushroom is looking great. I am battling alilttle brown algae problem at the moment and slowly becoming victorious, but havent added anything to the water yet so that should be the problem. Also if you can see there are 2 tiny baby shrooms behind/ above the shriveled up mushroom attached to the same rock so i really dont want to lose it. Any ideas or suggestions?

What kind of light do you have? Mushroom does not like very bright light. Try moving it under the shade and the polyp will extend. IME.

When you move it under the shade, the stalk will extend until the petal is exposed to light. How about other corals?

all the other corals are doing great i just moved my polyps from top to middle of the tank, they seemed to have changed in color from green to a light brown/green. but if i put it to the top again it will turn to green again. i do put iodine in, but never the full dose. im too afraid il OD and wake up to a reefers nightmare.so put it completely in the shade? it hasent opened for days?

Put it on the edge of the shade so that the stalk can extend to the light.

I wouldn't add iodine unless your testing for it and know for sure that it's needed, normal water changes should give you what you need. How's your DKH ? All of my soft corals like it when I dose buffer to raise my ALK,especially the shrooms.
