mushroom question????

    My nitrate was between 10 and 20 ppm and it was in low flow before and is in low flow now. The lights they had on it were dim but they were MH so I was scared to put it too low

    Those nitrates levels are fine really. But you are better to have it start low and then raise it in the tank. And let it adjust to light levels slowly. About everthing that goes in my tank goes in the bottom, its hard for corals to have to adjust with water and light.

    mine was like that also, it was huge in the fish store and when i got it home, it shrunk to less than half its size, about a week later it was huge haha

    Those nitrates levels are fine, but do your self a favor and put them near the bottom of the tank they don't like a lot of light, i have about 60 mushrooms mostly green and some red and with only 4 t5 ho bulbs on a 55 gal, and i still keep them on the bottom as long as there not reaching for light there.they done there best under the old 4 t12 lights i had.
