Not sure if this is the right forum, but I had a question...\

I have one big mushroom with 2 little babies below it. When the big one opens up the little ones don't get any direct light. Is this bad for them? How do get them of the rock to move them. Thanks.

Also Im at work so I don't have a pic. They are the same shape as Striped Mushrooms, but with a different color pattern. Not sure what there called.

same here, don't worry about it. the shrooms can move on their own if they don't like the light.

being so addicted to life as they are, they're hard to kill. if you want to move it you can

    1. direct flow at it in an effort to make it move (like an anemone)
    2. just cut it off and use the covered dish method with rubble to get it to reattach and kalk over the shroom base so it doesn't grow back too

I have same thing... I had 2 shrooms that didn't reproduce at all for the first year and now one of the two has 4 or 5 babies around it. Sometimes they're covered sometimes not... a couple of them are moving away now...

They will move on their own if there not happy. And when they do actually move, they will leave a small piece behind. Stuck to the rock. Then you have more baby shrooms

They will be fine. Mushrooms can stretch their base an amazing distance to reach light if they feel they need it. Mushrooms also multiply like crazy if they feel danger. I've thrown shrooms down through my rocks and within a couple of months they're growing up through the rocks to get to the light.

it is cool... but it's also annoying... ;) they tend to get in the worst spots (at least it feels like that sometimes)

Dude, I am a fanatic about my glass and tank appearance! When I blew up the pic of your tank (which is beautiful) and saw the water drips, I was trying to clean your glass!!
