Hey yall. So I have somewhat of a thing for shrooms, and I'm in the process of making of the rocks in my tank a mushroom rock. Now I know when some types of corals get too close together, they can release toxins in the water.. My question is, do mushrooms do the same? I've seen diff colors close together.. But can diff species and colors live in close quarters? Even touching one another..?

    Thankss!

I think they can with mushrooms, I haven't mixed Ricordeas with other species of mushrooms but have had no problems otherwise.

Ok sweet! I'm getting a few ric's soon, those won't be going on the rock tho so were good there. But I'll have 8 diff color/species of shrooms on this rock here In a few days, and wanted to make sure before I glued em in place! :)

thats gonna look really good.. i like mushrooms too.. dont know why some people hates them..quick way to make a little extra money on frags...

but your not gonna be able to glue them somewhere... when you start messing with them, they release a really thick slippery goo that doesnt allow the glue to stick to the rock.

If any of them don't like it, they'll move themselves LOL.

If they aren't mounted on plugs a trick I've used is to cut down a plastic cup so its about 3/4 of an inch tall fill wit sand and put the shroom in it wait a week and noow the shroom will be attached too the sand and you can glue it :)....this may take afew attempts but its always worked for me
