mushrooms, and ricordea

    I have a bunch of pretty plain purple mushrooms in my tank and a blue-green ricordia and for some reason the mushrooms look like crap and the ricordia hasnt grown i have over 15 other types of corals SPS and LPS and they all look excellent and are thriving but these mushrooms are getting light blotches theyre shriveled and never look good the ricordea hasnt grown in the whole 7 months ive had it.. placement is right i run two 250watt MHs ans all the water levels are fine i just started target feeding recently but still they look like crap... can anyone help me out?

    Can you get an image up of a full tank shot (FTS)?

    both those species do well for most people, and if your other corals are doing well, there must be something thats not right for these species and a image might help ID issue

    sounds like it might be too much light but, forgive the pun, that just a shot in the dark

    I agree too much light, the shrivelling is the key along with being blotchy. Mushrooms do better in low light and medium flow. Ricordias can be slow growers.

    Reeron never appreciates the finer of literary devices. I would move them into some shade if possible, or at the very least decrease your photoperiod.
