    Hey gang ,
Have been seeing a bit of a whitening of my mushroom latley then had 2 or 3 drop off the host rock all my water paremiters seem ok just low on the calcium around (370) they have beem resting in a medium current and the lighting has been moderate.
I did how ever treat my tank for the dreaded ICH about 6 weeks ago and this was for a period of 18 days. since this time have changed the water twice 25 % each time .
The medicament was a ( reef safe ) treatment active ingrediant primenta racemosa.
    Could it have been this.

Hi sorry to see you are having problems. The medication may have caused this problem. I am always leery of the statement "reef safe" on any medication or treatment. Are you noticing any other effects on your livestock? What are the other parameters in your tank?

    oops what happened their sorry

KH 10 deg, salinity 1.023 it all seems fine .other live stock seems in good spirits opening nicely on a dayly basis, although still have the Ich flare up every other week then it fads away ( I figure the fish are eating and seem to be able to shrug it off after 1 or 2 days so iv e stopped trying to treat it) to scared for my corals health now.

I am also dubious of treatments, my impression is that if you need to perform any kind of treatment then ideally it would be in another tank. As for the ick, you are not alone with this, I had an outbreak about 2 months ago and both of my tangs were covered. I was very close in removing them and treating them in my quarintine tank, however Tangster advised me to try and add some vitamins with my food which I did and so far so good. I know this is not going to get rid of it but for whatever reason it seems to be helping.

Most of your mushrooms in your picture looks ok and I'm guessing that the treatment you added might of had an affect. I would do a few more water changes and then just keep an eye on them. I've had a few mushrooms in the past do the same thing but they drifted around the tank and now are happy, so I wouldn't worry about it to much at the moment. If any of your other corals are looking bad then will have to investigate further.

P.S. amcarrig, that looks like a friendly kitty!!

sounds like pima or mela fix, not a big fan. but I'm not convinced thats your problem. I've seen mushie do that after months of bieng in the same place. I suspect they crowd each other or just want more or less light. thats how they end up all over the tankin new colonies
