mushrooms?

    hey we have some coral that has been doing well and reproducing a lot... just wanted to know for sure what kinds they are..

    first two pics are hairy mushroom (my guess lol) not sure

    and the 3rd pic is different from the others.. its just purple and just smooth...

    also i have t5 lighting one coral bulb and one daylight...

    i have these at the top of my live rock..... they are reproducing fine i have like 4 new little ones.... should i move to a lower level just scared they might be getting too much light... they stretch out pretty far..

    dont fix something that isnt broke:D you ought to be fine with were they are.

    IF they are getting too much light or too much flow they will move themselves. Mushrooms can release their foot and take the current to a new location and no kind of reef-safe adhesive can keep them in a bad spot IME.

    They're right. I had two mushrooms that were getting crowded out on the rock they were on and the next thing I knew they were on the other side of my tank and very happy. Just try to make sure that they don't get washed into your overflow.

    So true! I super glued some yuma's and they didn't like where I put them. All three literally ripped themselves off and settled in a spot they like.

    if you are not sure that you want to keep mushrooms you are going to want to get rid of them, they spread quick fast and in a hurry.

    no i like them lol.... i just wanted to make sure the color and all looked well so i could make sure i was taking the best measurements for them to thrive
