I have an algae blenny, and I really adore it. Problem is I'd like to add 2 maybe 3 other small fish, such as a red blenny or some gobies.

It appears the algae blenny will be aggressive with anything that even remotely looks like a blenny.

Do I have to remove the algae blenny? Can you suggest any small fish compatible?

chromis, damsel, 6 line wrasse, or some sort of basslet, like a royal gamma or chalk bass. These are all very good fish and should be able to do well in your sized tank.

Yea unfortunately with any existing blenny in a tank, they can become real territorial with another fish of similar look/shape. I even had an issue with a bicolor and a jawfish once - was not pretty!!

If you want another type of blenny then I would suggest removing the algae blenny.

There are other fish that are compatible - some gobies should be OK but it's a chance they will fight with whatever you introduce to the tank.

+1 on the sixline, very colorful, small bioload, just swims all day through the rock work, and mine and my lawnmower never even acknowledge each other.

Their are many suitable choices with regards to adding small fish to your bioload. The Clown Goby, Flasher or Fairy Wrasse, Green or Blue Chromis', Pajama or Bangaii Cardinal fish, Pseudochromis'( though they have an aggressive behavior), Fire fish, Royal Gramma, Chalk Bass and Lantern Bass for starters.
