Watching an empty tank is hard work but after the cycle, the reward will be worth it.

I have had quite a bit happen in the last week and a half. Well a week and a half ago I was near the end of cycle bought cured live rock and it was the most fun for the next week seeing all the life on it. After that week of water treatment the cycle finished this last weekend. Went to LFS and picked up a few frags and two tiny fish. Wife wanted a Purple Stripe Dottyback and I wanted a Domino Damsel. I figure we will see how well it goes. i also picked up two tiny zoa frags that aren't attached to anything and I didn't have any superglue so i am picking some up on the way home to put them on rubble. they settled in to holes on my liverock but im afraid they will get caught in the current when they open and get knocked out of the holes. Only other thing I added was a frag of Green Star Polyps. I don't have many pics available and I have to do this from my phone for now. Here is what i have though. Yes, I'm aware i have algae issues as you can see but i did pick up a small cuc as well and they are loving it. I grew it just for their enjoyment lol. I will get more picks later as well. Especially once i get the Zoas on rubble, placed, and open. worse case i will leave them be and see how it all goes. :)

Congrats on getting the animals in the tank.

How many fish do you intend to have? Both of your fish will most likely be very unwelcoming to new additions one they have become established.

Yeah, those are the only two i will have. i introduced them together so i figured they "should" get along. Other than that i may get a mushroom but im going to wait a bit before i add anything else. As of now though unless i get a bigger tank only corals from now on. i wanted a clown honestly and that would have been the only fish but after seeing a fully grown one in person it didn't feel right.

I had managed to have a few star Polyps on my only chunk of live rock and imagine this... It is the only coral i have right now that my new domino damsel won't stop nipping at. every time it starts to open it looks like a tasty treat and gets nipped and closes back up. I resorted to pretty hefty measures and hoping it works if not i have a few other things to try... He seemed to wonder aimlessly after feeding nipping at random things so i figured this should detour him... Or her...

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Boy if it's not one thing it's another.

Good luck with the damsel. He must like the taste of GSP or is eating algae found there. Better yet he probably knows how much you like it and is messing with you.

The last one is probably it... Sometimes I think my whole tank is already plotting against me.

There is good news though! The fish are getting along just fine. It is almost as if they are friends already.
