True. That and my son will surely assist in that time flying. He will be here around the beginning of July.

Well i have three issues at once they are my fault. So for future reference saving money on important things is a bad idea. I never set up a QT tank I figured I didn't need it since my fish were together at the store. I put them in my tank and apparently i had a ich parasite or two on them or in the tiny bit of the store water that dripped in my tank. Either way my fish have ich and there is a lot of it. I stirred up my sand a bit while sucking out my tiny cyano spot. I guess that by stirring the sand up it stressed the fish or also stirred up parasites... Or both. That made it worse. Long story short dottyback is on deaths door and the damsel while eating heartily still seems only mildly bothered. I heard keeping my parameters perfect would fight off the ich. This was my only option that Im aware of to help other than a freshwater dip which is just stressful. I wouldst be capable of catching the dottyback anyway it snakes through my live rock. I have been doing 10% change every 3-5 days since my cycle ended and my params were all in check the whole time. can't treat with copper because of all the invents.

If the damsel dies, Im fishless for about 8 weeks... Guess that would be the time to pick up a few more corals while the ich dies out. Lesson lerned. At this time though my corals are doing amazing in the tank and i have coralline steadily growing. Maybe i should just stick.with corals :(

Sorry to hear of the troubles:( if these fish dont work out you could always just keep shrimp. Im setting up a ten gallon right now, i plan for just shrimp with a clown goby.

I would say this happens to the best of us at times. I really need to set a QT as well. I'm guessing that you got some bad live stock actually, which isn't your fault at all.

Im debating on what kind of tank to set up. Since my tank is so small i feel goofy setting up a empty tank and just letting it sit set up. I guess i will look for something like 5 gallons or so. i have a half gallon tank i can use i guess lol. At the moment though it is too late for that. No sense in putting a sick fish in to a cycling tank.

Either way I know the issues I'm having are experienced by everyone and having these issues are part of having a tank. Im just thankful some things are going correctly. A big part of my problem is probably because i don't have a skimmer but it is in the mail. I should have it within a week. I will have to modify it a tiny bit because it is a haus and technically too much for my tank

I was misinformed about the size of the skimmer I ordered. I have it set up and it is working but the real estate I had to devote to it is rather interesting. Lets just say between the powerhead on the skimmer and the filter pump I don't need any other circulation. I removed my two rio powerheads for now as they just really aren't needed anymore and the current is already almost too much.

The issue bothering me now after everything else is the microbubble flood in my tank until this darn thing gets broke in.

Aside from that, my fish were both mia all day yesterday and didn't come out to eat. I figure they were done for. The dottyback is done, found her two days ago. The domino I haven't found yet but I assume he is done. I couldn't move fast enough with my work schedule to save them. My fault. Now, on to my coral and invert tank... because I defiantly can't have any fish for about what... 9 months now... yay... One of the hard lessons that shows you the importance of a QT tank. I didn't think I needed to quarantine since I got them both from the same tank and the same time and brought them home. Well, now my whole tank is infected. Note to anyone else who is reading this, always QT every fish you get... regardless.

Invert and Coral tank time. Let's see how this goes. I know now though that I will have to feed my corals. I guess this is done on a weekly basis or can I do it more often? I don't think it will hurt anything if they eat a lot. Not sure you can over feed a coral.

Just keep moving forward... I can't go back...

I will post pics later when I get back home.
