    1babylove this is what i have for lighting
    Aqualight Pro HQI/Compact Fluorescent/Lunar Light Fixture

    48"492 watt
    2-150 watt HQI
    2-96 watt348"492 watt

    10,000 double ended
    96 acintic bulbs
    3 1 watt lunar led bulbs.

    What would your opinion be on what type of lighting i would need for having corals because that is were I want to be. I bought these on craigslist for $200. I thought i got a pretty good deal at the time.

    thanks for all your help....

    I have been cyclinig for about a week now and I went ahead and put another cup of sand that has been established for 8 months now. I have been putting the sand to seed the DT in my fuge. Is this o.k. or do I need to put it in the DT aswell. I have it in the fuge because I now have some very fine sand in the DT and what Im putting in to seed itis crushed coral agronite sand. I just dont want that crushed sand mixed with the new sand I have now. But if I have to put some in the DT to help out the cycling I guess I can drop some behind my aquascape.

    Here are my parameters after the first week of the cycle:

    Ammonia = 0

    Nitrate = 10

    Nitrite= 5.0

    PH = 8.0

    Is this normal? I know when it all hits 0 is when the cycling process is done correct. I have a 29 gallon tank before but with the advice the lfs gave us we didnt even check for this kind of stuff (what a jerk).

    Thanks
