Hey. Set my 30 US gallon tank up the other day. Its going to be fish only, run off of an external powerfilter and skimmer for filteration. Will be upgrading next year to a 5x2x2 fish only, so I can get some tangs and have a more showpeicey tank.

If you have seen this on another forum... holla! lol

Sorry in advance for huge pics

    Heres how it started
    [IMG]

Nice. Are you using ro/di water? Great rock work too.

Thanks! I do like the rock formation which is rare for me, im usually hypercritical of my tanks lol
Im using dechlorinated tap water ATM because I cant get ahold of RO water (still live at home and cant get an RO unit and my LFS don't sell it) which I know is bad but I have done a similar tank like this before and kept a tomato clown and firefish healthy for a year.

Thanks, Yep I have set up a load of freshwater tanks and did a 2x1x1 marine tank similar to this which I had up for a year.

Now I just have to wait for it to cycle. Hopefully its quick.

Does everyone think this will be ok stocking for this tank?

    2 clowns
    1 flame hawkfish
    1 royal gramma
    1 dwarf angel

I was going to add 6 line to that as they are like my fav fish, but I hear they can get very agressive so i think I will leave it out.

i think you wil lbe fine with the fish you would like to add. but if you do decide to switch to some corals, the dwarf comes with a warning of possible coral nipping. but all in all , very colorful fish and wil llook great. whats going in 1st?

Im not really into coral so I don't think I will ever go down that route. I will switch all of these fish over to the 5x2x2 when I upgrade aswell.

As for the order. I have no idea.

I was thinking, clowns first, the the royal gramma, then the flame hawk and the angel last. Does that sound OK?

sounds good. one thought regarding the hawkfish, they are known jumpers, so might either consider another fish if you dont have a suicide barrier in place , :) , or consider making one yourself.
