My 120g Stony Dominated Reef Aquarium

    Here is a few pictures of my 120g Stony Dominated Reef Aquarium. This tank was set back up as a reef system in December of 2010. The system has about 300g TSV and below is a link to my frag tank thread that has more pictures.

    Here is a list of the equipment

    Tank Size: 120g (48 X 24 X 24)
    Lighting: 250w DE HQI MH Phoenix 14k. Sunrise 12:00 Noon and Sunset 8:00 pm
    Flow: 4 X Hydor Koralia Pumps
    Return: Eheim 1262
    Skimmer: Super Reef Octopus XP 3000 Internal Skimmer
    Controller: Neptune System Apex
    Calcium and Alkalinity Source: Kalk Reactor with Eheim 1250 mixing pump & tom aquatics aquadoser.
    Addition Supplements: 2 X BRS 2 Part dosing pump
    Currently only dosing alk for 10 minutes every hour
    Total Water Volume: 300g
    Food: PE Mysis and Homemade blend 1 X per day

    Thanks guys! Yep, I am defiantly am out of real estate so all I can really do now is nothing :). I usually take a lot of pictures so I'm sure I'll have plenty of growth shots to share soon.

    Looks good. If you added a few rocks in the middle, you'd gain some more real estate, and also add some "height" to the layout you have, and it wouldn't look so flat.

    Thanks. If I add some more rock than I defiantly will add some to the middle. The idea is that there is plenty of room to grow up and the caps will fill up the bottom level. The problem is that this is going to take another year before they start to fill in the top level.

    Honestly, you've got a lot of height there. How much distance from the top of those sps frags to the surface of the water?

    I am going to guess 14"? That's going to take more than a year... :)

    But... when a few years have passed, and they're all 14" tall, we both know the tank is going to look amazing!
