Looking good so far, Tom! Going Bean? Coast to coast?

60x18x24 is 112.2 gallon to be exact.

Im still leaning towards the glass-holes.com overflow - pretty straight forward and simple to install - not alot of building out - still considering them all though.. :)

Ive had a glass-holes overflow on my old 29 and it worked quite fine but Bean's just better.

So I have a question on the coast to coast design - how big is the "L" - eg 5"x5" or 6"x6" - etc - Ive watched a ton on the bean system and the coast to coast but no reference to how big the actual overflow is height and depth.... bean system looks really interesting. Digging the quiet operation from the videos I have seen so far...

I have read the glass-holes while quiet, dont compare quiet wise to the beans....

Every set up is different. It depends on where you drill in the back wall. What I did was drilled five holes (three for drains and two for returns) like this.

and place the bulkheads with elbows, and measure it manually. Thats the only way to determine the size of the "L". Mine is 38"x4 1/2"x3". Not full C2C, since I have two returns on each side.

    Hope this helps.

    NIce build Bob,

That's similar to the overflow I was talking about.

Except that you'd cut out the back of the tank instead and put the box on the outside, and plumb it thru the bottom of the outer box to the sump.

As I said, there's a build thread on doing just that on RC I think.
