I always always always qt them in a frag tank. That way if some frags go missing, I can sell them before they hit the dt

Sure, right now I am using 2 diy cree fixtures, and one manufactured fixture (not in the pics). The diy ones use 36 cree xpe LEDs each, 24 royal blue, 12 cool white. The xp-es are still good, but not quite as good as the new xt-es and xp-gs, which I have compared side by side. The fixtures were built when the xp-es were THE leds to have, or about 8 months ago, LOL. The manufactured one uses xp-e royal blues, xp-e colored LEDs, and xp-g cool whites. The xp-e series seems to still be the norm for royal blues, while the xp-gs are taking over for the whites. I plan on adding colored LEDs to the diy ones, as I find that they improve coral color by a ton. The diy ones are driven at 700ma, I run them at ~75% max, but I plan on upping the power over a couple months, and maybe upping the power to 850 ma.

Yeah I hear you, it was only 6~7 months ago when I rebuilt my LED to widen the spectrum, there was not too many options out there... Im getting some positive result so far tho, growth and color wise, so cant really complain :)

I can suggest you to add UV, 420nm and cyan. They are working great for me so far.
