Oh I forgot something. You said that BC had a lot of algae growth and that it was set up for around a year already. You might want to look in to changing the PC lights out or look at RapidLED for a LED plug and play kit. I'm not sure what kind of money you are looking at spending. I black sand in mine and I love it lol. Good luck to you.

Yea I knew it would be a pain in the ass but Ive always enjoyed the challenge of breeding fish in captivity. I may just start with a few cool clowns (possibly Ibluewater) and put some coral from my 29g in there ... cause it is stuffed! If I see later down the road that the are starting to lay eggs I may pursue it and start with the lighting and ph changes to get the conditions right. I just cant think of and fish that would go in a 14g that I would enjoy more than the clowns.

If someone has a suggestion please let me know!!

The clowns will really enjoy it. I know mine do lol. There aren't a lot of active fish you put in a 14 gallon tank though. Most breeders put their brood stock in 10 gallon tanks with a clay pot to lay eggs in, that is why I didn't mind putting my clowns in a BC 14.

Ibluewater has a pair of Picasso's for $295. If I can get the pair that I know has been together for a long time, and from a very reputable LFS for $140 I should probably jump on that...I can see anything else I like thats >$200.

I paid $400 for my pair of snowcasso's from doni's reef. Get what you are going to be happy with. You will have them for a long time if you breed them. ;D

You have to sign up for her newsletter. That is how you know when she has them in stock. She will usually put 2 - 3 up a week on Saturdays.

Got ya...probably a little more than I want to spend though. If I could put them in my 29g then maybe. If anything I will go with the picasso's locally and get a rapid plug n play dimmable for $145. I need to replace the bulbs and fans so the whole kit wouldnt be much more

I would love to get a RapidLED plug and play kit. They seem to be getting quite popular. 8)
